TARRAGON

Used as a seasoning for its delicate aniseed aroma, tarragon leaves or young shoots are harvested several times a year. The essential oil content is highest just before flowering.
Russian tarragon (Artemisia dracunculoides) is the only tarragon that can be propagated by seed. It is perennial, productive and has a less pronounced taste than French tarragon.
