SAGEBRUSH

Mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris) is a very common member of the Compositae (ex-Asteraceae) family. A perennial, it grows wild along roadsides in temperate regions and can be cultivated for its ornamental or medicinal properties. Its leaves are highly branched and give off an odor similar to wormwood when crumpled. Common wormwood likes well-nitrogenated soil and can be found at altitudes of up to 1,600 m.
