CUMIN

Meadow cumin, also known as caraway (Carum carvi), is a biennial herb whose leaves and especially seeds are used as a condiment. They have an aniseed taste similar to that of fennel seeds. Both are members of the Apiaceae family, which develops characteristic umbels. Meadow cumin is a spontaneous plant in France.

Not to be confused with cumin (Cuminum cyminum), which has a very different taste and is used in spice blends.
