ANISE
Anise or green anise (Pimpinella anisum) is a herbaceous member of the Apiaceae family, renowned for its condiment properties. Native to the Mediterranean basin, it grows in light, warm soils. The leaves are harvested fresh (to flavor salads, for example) and the seeds as a condiment (used in many dishes, pastries, drinks and herbal teas).
